Global Warming
As you know theres a BIG problem occuring around the world affecting everyones lives, Global Warming, Global Warming is a process of increasing temperature around the world. For some places like England this may "help" in some ways but the majority of places around the world like the glaciers, ice caps, oceans and several countries are deeply affected. Global warming is caused by pollution from factories, burning items (espicially coal), natural gasses, fossil fuels, energy use and many more which I could name all day. You might be wondering how does pollution or burning items cause Global Warming? well, when the bad gasses from factories get released they wonder off to the earths atmosphere. The earths atmosphere is a layer of gasses which surround the planet which controls the earths gravity. All the gasses from earth will go up to the atmosphere, which is fine...until there are way too many gasses which come up. When too many gasses go up to the earths atmosphere it thickens. When the suns rays hit the earth and heat the planet up, they bounce back up go up to space. Only thing is, because the atmosphere is so thick all the gasses block the suns rays from going back into space and instead go back to our planet, which rapidly increases our temperature day by day. This causes alot of icelands in the polar regions to melt which kills the land animals live on. Ocean temperature has been rising rapidly causing sea turtles to lose all their nestings beaches, endangered Mediterranean Monk seals are getting nowhere to raise their pups because of water taking over their beaches, rising sea levels are also caused by the temperature which affects whales and dolphins, damaging their shallow coastal ares which they need.
Now you must be wondering how you can help?
1. Make sure to turn off all your lights which are not needed to be on
2.Try to use a fan and open your windows while in your room instead of using an aircon, or at least try not too have your aircon on at 12 degrees celsius.
3.Try to buy more eco-friendly items if you can affor them.
4.If your thinking of buying a new car, why not get a hybrid eco-friendly car which runs on rechargeable batteries instead of gasoline.
5. Cover you pots while cooking this can save alot of energy for preparing a dish, or why not buy a pressure cooker? they can save around 70% more energy then normal ones!
6.Have a look at the saving electricity website i have posted and do one of the things on the site.
Littering
Everyday approximately 31 TONNES of litter is thrown onto beaches. Most of this garbage kills land-animals and sea-animals, many endangered fish get stuck in Can rings and die everyday.
How you can help.
Two simple steps one is optional...one is a MUST
1.NEVER EVER EVER be lazy and decide to chuck your garbage on a beach, public place or anywhere! just find a bin and put it in there. Make sure you don't flush it down your toilet because thats even worse. It goes to the sea and wastes water.
2.If you have a local beach which is always piled with garbage, why not spare a few minutes and pick up some?
