Three endangered fish around the world

Wild Common Carp: The wild common carp is classified as a member of Cypriniformes which are ray-finned fish. The wild common carp in 5 years will have lost 80% of its whole population

Sawfish: Suprisingly sawfish is on the top most endangered fish in the United States. These amazing creatures have saw like snouts.

Silver Shark: The silver shark had lost over 50% of its population in 2002 and is on the path to extinction. These fish are also Cypriniformes.

The ocean in the future

Many people fear that more and more Tsunamis will be coming our way, if you didn't know, the main cause of Tsunamis is Global Warming which keeps melting our polar ice caps. Many scientists say that more and more different species of marine wild life will be discovered but many will become endangered or extinct. If Global Warming and Pollution to the sea keeps up the way its going our oceans will never be the same again, Many coral reefs will die (especially the Great Barrier Reef which is losing its many of its coral). A scientist named Juliet Eilperin says that humans really need to pick up their feet and be concerned for our environment.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau

Jacques-Yves Cousteau, born in June 11th 1910 – June 25th 1997. Jacques had many jobs, such as being a naval officer, explorer, ecologist, flimaker, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who had studied marine life and the sea itself. He had invented many aquatic apparatus such as the aqua lung, in which though he co-developed. he was commonly called Jacques Cousteau or Captain Cousteau. Jacques Cousteau had a theory in the 1960's that it is possible to live underwater in which he experimented in. He thought that people could live in big tanks underwater and at the very bottom is a cage or your gate/door which kept dangerous wild life away. These cages would have bars. For food Jacques thought that people could grow kelp underwater since it is edible and grows very quickly.

Vegetation and Plants in the Ocean.

The ocean is a huge place and covers approximately 75% of the earths surface, although it covers a huge space on the earth it doesn't have much. The two biggest plants/vegetation in oceans today are coral and kelp. Kelp is a type of plant which usually grows along rocky coast lines in depths of 18-90ft. Kelp is similar to algae because of their root-like structure in which they attach to coast-line rocks to. around 40 years ago a diver called Jacques Cousteau did some experiments that you could eat kelp as your main food if you lived underwater. Coral has to live in warm temperature from around 68-82 degrees Fahrenheit. The biggest coral reef in the world is the Great Barrier Reef located in Australia. This reef is so big that if left earth in a rocket ship to space you could still see it. Although Coral is a plant it's also a home to small fish around it. Unfortunately many species of fish are becoming endangered or extinct due to the dieing coral in the sea. Coral is rapidly dieing because of problems like Global Warming and pollution.
